The Board of Directors of ACS maintains a fund called the Partnership in
Treatment Program. The goal of the program is to provide children and families
in need of treatment with a financial alternative when insurance is unable or
not available to defray the high cost of care.
In the absence of adequate resources, any parent or legal guardian whose
child has been accepted for admission to Alaska Children's Services residential
or community programs, may apply for financial assistance by completing the
Partnership in Treatment application.
A review committee considers applications in the light of Partnership funds
available, family commitment to participation in treatment, financial need,
length of stay, and other extenuating circumstances that the committee deems
relevant. The committee makes every good faith effort to evaluate each
application in a fair and impartial manner.
All proceeds from ACS's annual Alaska Flag Day celebration are used in
support of the Partnership in Treatment Program. Since its inception in 1994,
the Partnership in Treatment Program has provided support to 19 children and
their families.
If you would like to be considered for Partnership funding for treatment for
your child, please contact your child's Case Manager or Clinical Therapist.
